Who We Are

WTAAA is where the world’s most influential travel agency associations align.

WTAAA exists to unite, represent and advance national and regional travel agency associations worldwide. Through these associations, we strengthen and protect the global travel agency profession, recognising that strong associations are essential to resilient, future-ready agency communities.

In an environment where distribution decisions, policy frameworks and commercial models are increasingly shaped at a global level, associations cannot operate in isolation. WTAAA brings together 12 regions and 50 countries, representing more than 70% of global airline sales through the agency channel, providing what no single market or association can achieve alone: credible global advocacy, aligned leadership and a unified global voice.

We advocate for fair government and industry policy, transparent distribution and sustainable business models across air, land and sea travel. Working with governments, suppliers and industry partners, we ensure that travel agencies remain trusted and valued as an essential part of the global travel ecosystem.

Beyond advocacy, we play a leadership role in shaping the future of the profession. We address the industry’s most pressing challenges, including cyber fraud, disintermediation, crisis response, sustainability and technology integration. Through shared intelligence, collaborative frameworks and practical tools, we enable our members to navigate the complexities of travel distribution with confidence and clarity.

At our core, we believe that collaboration, trust and value are the foundation of a resilient and future-ready travel industry. By aligning associations through our membership programme, strengthening relationships across the value chain and amplifying a single global voice, we ensure that travel agencies, and the associations that serve them, remain indispensable partners in travel worldwide.
